Sports Car Open Endurance Series Returns For Fifth Season!

Munich. International sim racing series organiser Sports Car Open announces the return of the ever popular SCO Endurance Series. Together with series partners Morphicon Media AG and RaceSpot TV, Sports Car Open will host it's top of the line sports car series for the fifth time on the iRacing platform.

2 classes - 50 teams - 6 races - 44 hours of sports car racing

All SCO Endurance Series races will take place on Saturdays, starting at the end of October 2021 and concluding at the beginning of April 2022. Race durations will vary from a minimum of six to a maximum of twelve hours with two classes of cars taking on each event. In the Prototype class, the now familiar Dallara P217 will be the sole eligible car, with the only differentiators being teams, car setups and strategy. In the newly merged Grand Touring class, teams will have a number of GT3 specification cars to choose from, which will further be balanced by the series, like was seen during the summer's VRS SCO Sprint Series and VRS SCO 24 hours of Spa.

The Sports Car Open Endurance and Sprint Series complement each other perfectly. That means we can now offer participation opportunities in professional simracing racing series throughout the year.

Morris Hebecker (Morphicon Media AG): We are pleased to again be onboard with Sports Car Open for the upcoming SCO Endurance Series. Together, we will continue to run this top level sports car endurance championship for future seasons. I cannot wait for the new season to start again this October.
